With such overland adventure pursuits through the whoops and washboards, we’ve been known to bend a Battery Bar or two… Yes, we are talking about the flimsy Toyota Part Number 74453-60060 that we’ve bent a few times. Heavier battery (or multiples) in addition to long-travel suspension has allowed us to go further and faster to remote offroad locations and we’ve arrived to the destination with a bent factory battery bar (or two)! Batteries are paramount for the return trip home, thus we needed something a bit more stronger to hold our batteries in place! Note: What you see in the above photo – no battery box shown in the product photo, thus we do NOT ship this Battery Tray Bar with the factory or aftermarket battery box. See “KIT INCLUDES” noted below.

Here is the Red Line Land Cruisers Battery Tray Bar With Accessory Plate specifically made for the *USDM Driver’s Side of a 80-Series FZJ80 Toyota Land Cruiser, using the factory battery box. Our kit does NOT include the battery box.

The Red Line Land Cruisers Battery Tray Bar With Accessory Plate is made from aluminum. This material choice is a very desirable metal because it is more malleable and elastic than steel and a superior strength-to-weight ratio. Steel is a very tough and resilient metal but cannot generally be pushed to the same extreme dimensional limits as aluminum without cracking or ripping. The thin steel used for the factory Toyota battery bar is very thin and while it works great for light duty offroading, it is simply not beefy enough for our pursuits.

Yes, we made our very own billet aluminum “corner-washers” to help hold everything in place.
We ship you a brand new set of factory Toyota “J-Hooks” and flange nuts as well with the Red Line Battery Tray Bar & Accessory Plate.

With the Accessory Plate, it allows space for fuses and connectors that will tuck out of the way with ample space behind the headlamp.
