Red Line FJ40 “Ultimate” 2.5 Lift Kit – DOBINSON’S GS VERSION

This is simply the Dobinson’s GS-Series Shock version of our Red Line FJ40 “Ultimate” 2.5 Lift Kit – Bilstein Version based on our 2.5″ Lift package designed for non-overlanding / heavy Cruisers. Here at Red Line Land Cruisers, guess we are getting old, but we simply prefer a 40-Series Land Cruiser rolling on a 33 X 10.50 tire mounted to 10 X 5.5 rim and this 2.5″ lift kit package is the optimum way to achieve this.  

The Dobinson’s GS Series of shocks is an upgrade over the Bilstein 5100 Shocks. While most everyone has heard of Bilstein, Dobinson’s is relatively new for us here in the USA.

A little FYI on Dobinson’s Spring and Suspension Company.
Reg Dobinson of Australia, established his suspension business in 1953; originally called Dobinsons Welding Works, but now known as Dobinson’s Spring and Suspension. Throughout the 1940’s and early 1950’s Reg Dobinson, a hard working blacksmith, earned a well deserved reputation as an exceptional tradesman and expert spring repairer. He began perfecting his spring repair and manufacture skills at the Queensland Railway and as a result the demand for his expertise grew. As time went on he began to specialize in spring repair and manufacture, and it led him to take on further weekend work for friends, repairing springs.

Everything is a “sliding-scale” of gains and sacrifices.
For this 2.5 Pro Comp Lift Kit set-up, here is what we recommend in the rim & tire department:

• Max Tire Size: 33 x 12.50 (We prefer 10.50)
• Wheel Size Range (Inch): 15-17″
• Wheel Width Range (Inch): 5.5-10 (We prefer 5.5)
• Min-Max Backspace (Inch): 3.25-4.5
