How to determine if your axle is a simi-float or full-float axle.
Note the 8 flange bolts on the full float axle:
When adding the PARKING BRAKE OPTION, parking brake cables should be custom made when changing to the parking brake caliper. The parking caliper cable pulls to the front of the vehicle, not sideways like the stock cable. You will need to have cables made to go from the front and connect to your parking brake cable that comes back to the cross-member. Failure to do this will result in the new parking brake calipers getting out of adjustment.
Control Cable Co. makes cables for any application and can make cables to fit the rear parking brake calipers along with any additional suspension lift in your Land Cruiser. Control Cable makes the nicest cables for your Land Cruiser parking brakes.
