UZJ100 Fan Clutch with Temp Mod, 100-Series (1998 – 2005), LX470 (1998 – 2005) RL1288

The UZJ100 Toyota chassis is used for both the 1998 – 2005 J100 Toyota Land Cruiser and the Lexus LX470 of the same year range. Toyota spec’ed the same fan clutch across these two models as these vehicles are powered by the 2UZ-FE engine. We start with the OEM Certified AISIN Fan Clutch and our modification consists of a two-step process as we change the CST Fluid formula and adjust the temperature spring setting to achieve a long-term solution with a higher “lock-up” rate. This modification is known as the “Blue Hub Fan Clutch Mod” for 80-Series Toyota Land Cruisers, which we have been doing for years with great success.

Our in-house modified OEM Aisin Fan Clutch engages at 95 degrees, compared to the factory’s higher temp lock-up, which can be too late due to oversize tires, extra armor, and additional load when traveling on steep incline roads or high elevation overlooks.
