We love the simplicity and reliability of these old F-Series engines, and we strive to preserve them through proper maintenance. However, as Toyota has gradually discontinued service parts, Red Line Land Cruisers has remanufactured these “factory” parts to ensure proper service and maintenance of the Toyota F-Series engines, which are typically 35 to 50 years old. Oil is life for these old combustion engines, and appropriate maintenance is the key! Unfortunately, Toyota has discontinued what we consider critical parts essential for the survival of these old rigs. 

The F-Series Toyota Engine is worth saving because it’s rarer than the FJ40s it came in! Many Toyota Land Cruiser owners replaced the original power plant in the early years with small-block Chevy engines. But with enough time, we all want to go back in time and start all over. Luckily, some of you saw the original magic of the F-Series inline-six engines and stayed with it! The Toyota F-Series engine, an inline six, is both simple and reliable when properly maintained.
