If Toyota were to do it, this is how they would do it, but technically, this is how Red Line Land Cruisers replace the Gas Filter on the F-Series (1F and 2F) Toyota manifold. Pinching the airline just above the Gas Filter may be an OK “trail-fix-way,” but you are not doing this on the trail. Some of you may have used vacuum plugs, and these tend to crack due to heat over time and create a “hidden” vacuum leak.

Do it once—best with our Steel Plug, which is correctly “thread-matched” to the Toyota manifold thread pitch! It does not adhere to the American Thread Standard (UTS) or JIS metric. It is “head-scratchingly” British Standard Fine (BSF).
