3FE ’91-92 FJ80 & ’88-90 FJ62 FAN CLUTCH

Help your 1991-1992 FJ80 3FE-powered Toyota Land Cruiser or 1988-1990 FJ62 3FE-powered Toyota Land Cruiser engine stay cooler and run at its optimal temperature! The 3FE in an 80-Series or even a 62-Series Land Cruiser needs every ounce of maintenance and service – any possible help it can get! The Red Line Land Cruisers’ in-house modified OEM Aisin Fan Clutch is set to engage at 95 degrees. We adjust the temp-spring and change the CST Fluid to achieve a long-term solution with a higher “lock-up” rate. This is also known as the “Blue Hub Fan Clutch Mod,” but it is specifically the green version for the 3FE Toyota engine. This modification is popular because it correctly matches the fan engagement to the water pump rotation dynamics.

We have been running the same modified clutch for 3-years+ in our 80-Series with a multitude of conditions: hot, dry summer heat, with A/C on, driving on oversized wheels (37″) at low RPM, at high altitudes (9 -10,000ft average) with no issues here in Colorado Springs (6,000+ ft elevation just in town). However, we also “tweak and tune” specifically for higher heat areas, such as Death Valley and Laredo, Texas.
