FJ60 Wiper Arm Set, Toyota Land Cruiser – RL1397

These wiper arms are technically not for an FJ60, but as the factory FJ60 wiper arms have been discontinued, we started hunting. Also too, we are not sure if this is an issue for all FJ60 / 60-Series Land Cruisers, but we were experiencing a major issue when attempting to simply replace the windshield wiper blades and the blade was not fully reaching the windshield.
What we found was a thread on IH8MUD referencing Toyota 4Runner arms. We had both a first generation 4Runner and a 2nd. Gen. 4Runner on the lot and started trying the different arms onto our 1983 FJ60 Project: SNOWFLAKE. Both 4Runner arms worked and then we discovered both generation of 4Runner windshield wiper arms have been discontinued.
Fitment:
1980 – 1987 FJ60 Land Cruiser
1984 – 1988 4Runner
We’ve made a kit that includes the Wiper Arms with 18″ Wiper Blades – choose in the drop down menu.
All this grief simply because we were only trying to replace just the windshield wipers and no wiper we tried seems to work the way we wanted it to. Apparently we were having the same issue other FJ60 owners were experiencing where the wiper blade would not sit flat on the windshield due in part to the wiper arm itself not putting enough pressure to the blade.

Our factory-style traditional blade with it’s metal cage would not even touch the windshield! Thus, we new we had a problem that sent us down the research rabbit-hole! So if you are simply trying to replace your 60-Series Toyota Land Cruiser wiper blades, you too may experience this issue where the blade is not touching the windshield itself and rendered rather useless! This was unexceptable for us!

These wiper arms are technically for a 1st Gen. 4Runner 1984 – 1988.
These wipers also fit our 1983 FJ60, so these wipers will fit 60-Series Land Cruisers from 1980 – 1987.
These are non-Toyota made wiper arms as OEM Toyota wiper arms for these fitment years are no longer available.

If you are experiencing issues with your FJ60 wiper arm / blades not sitting on the actual glass, we too where experiencing the same thing. With this updated wiper arm we are dropping the wiper blade into position and our issues was originally the wiper would sit in this location and not even touch with windshield (with the stock FJ60 wiper arm).

Here we are lowering the blade to see what portion touches the glass first.

Here we have lowered the wiper arm into position and we are seeing full contact of the wiper blade onto the windscreen.
Incase you don’t want the entire set of these and you only want the wipers here they are:
