FJ40 Steel Wheel Toyota Land Cruiser 15′ x 5.5″ OUR FAVORITE!!!
Toyota Wheel, Disc – Fits 1973-1984 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
SIMPLY – OUR FAVORITE WHEEL for the 40-Series Toyota Land Cruisers!

The factory FJ40 Steel Wheel for your Toyota Land Cruiser is a 15″ wheel with a 5.5″ inside-the-lip “tire-width” is the “magic number” that gives our 33″ X 10.50/R15 tire choice the classic Toyota Land Cruiser “skinny tire” look! But what is even better than looks is functionality and this wheel/tire combo as it is the perfect combo to provide the best possible “package” with the least amount of load on your steering at a suitable 33″ offroad capable tire height! that is why this is our favorite wheel for the FJ40 Toyota Land Cruiser!
You want the taller tire for the better highway gear ratio, but the wider tire will only increase wind drag and increase wear on steering components due to the increased scrub radius! You could or may already have power steering added to your FJ40 to overcome the increased steering input, but it will not change or fix the scrub radius. Again, this is why we love these FJ40 Steel Wheels!

There is no perfect solution, but we are taking all technical considerations into account to provide the best solution overall! We have been running this wheel/tire combination for years, and we have built practically every FJ40 with our 2.5 Ultimate Lift, which includes our favorite steel wheel and our favorite 33″ X 10.50 *9.50/R15 tire. (*Kenda Klever is our new favorite tire!)
