Descriptions of each down below:

The OEM Toyota 4Runner Cabin Air Filter RL1454.A (shown above – white) sits inside the heater and cooler housing box and cleans the air that flows through your air conditioning – heating system. As the blower fan pulls in outside or recycled air, the pleated filter traps dust, pollen, and dirt. This keeps the air clean and protects your air conditioning parts from clogging. You should change it every 15,000 to 30,000 miles or once a year. You can typically swap it out behind your glove box with no tools, but please consult your service manual for full instructions.

The DENSO Electrostatically Charged Cabin Air Filter 4RL1454.B (shown above – pink) is an OE-quality replacement particulate and electrostatic cabin air filter designed to clean the air entering your vehicle’s passenger compartment. This DENSO filter uses multi-layered, electrostatically charged media to trap fine particles, dust, pollen, and pollutants down to 0.001 microns. The design of the DENSO cabin filter is built to original equipment (OE) specifications to ensure proper airflow, reduce noise, and block odors or fumes. DENSO is technical partner and OEM provider to Toyota.
