1F Sniper EFI Kit For FJ40, Semi-Complete Installation Kit – Red Line Land Cruisers • RL1259

We wish we could provide you with a “one-click-buys-all” for the Holley Sniper EFI conversion of your 1F engine in your FJ40, but there are variables to consider. However, we have broken it down into a few simple steps! For Steps 1-2, all the items needed are listed below. Once you have completed this step for your 1F Sniper EFI Kit, you can proceed to Step 3.

The “big choice” you will make in STEP 1-2 is determining if your 1F head is a 2-coolant-port or a 3-coolant-port design. 

IDENTIFY: WHAT CYLINDER HEAD DO YOU HAVE

 

Is your head a 3-Port coolant design? Why? If it is a 3-port design, you can install the Sniper Coolant Temp Sensor directly in the coolant port. If not, we modify the Water Housing to adapt the Sniper Temp Sensor. These heads have 11101-60031 serial number castings or earlier. The 60031 Sniper Thermo Housing Mod RL1138 Kit is designed for 1F cylinder heads with a 2-port design, consisting of a 2-bolt thermostat housing modified to accommodate the Holley Sniper Coolant Temperature Sensor. Please select from the dropdown menu: 3-Coolant Port or Thermo Housing Mod.

This is the 60031 Sniper Thermo Housing Mod RL1138 Kit, which you will use if your head is designed with two coolant ports. This is the only portion you will choose for this part of the kit.
