HOW TO INSTALL: RL1075 A/B 2F SNIPER FUEL LINES FOR 1975 – 1979 FJ40 With Oil Cooler

Note that Red Line Land Cruisers offers two different Fuel Line Kits for 2F Sniper installations:

The RL1071-A/B version is for 2F engines WITHOUT an Oil Cooler (RL1071 Fuel Lines Product Page)
• The RL1075-A/B Version is for e2F engines WITH an Oil Cooler. (RL1075 Fuel Lines Product Page)

Below are the instructions for the “WITH Oil Cooler Version – RL1075:
Start by removing the Alternator for easy access to mount the Fuel Line Tab.

Front Side Fuel Line Tab – Sniper Fuel Line Installation

Install the RLLC Fuel Line Tab, mounting it with the water housing bolt as such.

Pass-Side Fuel Line Tab – Sniper Fuel Line Installation

Install the Red Line Fuel Line Tab to the rear bolt of the alternator bracket horizontally with the bend offset outwards away from the engine.

How To “Thread” the Return Fuel Line Into Place

Exercise patience and care during this process to thread the fuel lines through the engine’s assembly, starting with the return line as it will be the “bottom” line in the fuel line kit assembly.

HOW TO INSTALL: RL1075 A/B 2F SNIPER FUEL LINES

“Threading” the Feed Line Into Place

Due to the Oil Cooler position, you will want to unbolt it and pull it back so you can “thread” the Feed Line into position as such.

With your Feed Line in position, you can test fit your connection points. Do not tighten the AN fittings to the final tightness at this point as you will be adding the Fuel Line Separators in next and will want to keep everything loose. We reccomend using oil at the Fuel Line A/N fittings to the A/N fittings of the Holley Headunit. Light tool oil or regular 10/30 motor oil can be used to prevent galling of the aluminum AN fittings.

Installing Fuel Line Separators

Installing the Fuel Line Separators is a two part process in that you want to get the Line Separators clamped together onto the fuel lines, then onto the Fuel Line Tab.

The Fuel Line Separators are made up of two halves with one side being threaded, thus you will want to tighten the Fuel Line Separators together onto the fuel lines, then push the bolt through the Fuel Line Tab to place the nyloc nut to secure the Lines/Separator to the tab.

You may find it easier to install the nyloc nut onto the Fuel Line Separator Clamps through-bolt by removing the valve cover as shown below.

Lower-Side Fuel Line Separator Installation

At the lower Fuel Line Tab, place the threaded portion of the Fuel Line Separator between the fuel lines and the mounting tab.

Place the “drop through” Fuel Line Separator on the outside of the fuel lines and place the bolt in and tighten the separators together.

Take a wrench and tighten the nyloc nut onto the back of the bolt securing the Line Separators to the Fuel Line Tab.

• Reinstall Oil Cooler Line.
• Check and tighten Fuel Line Separator bolts to Fuel Line Tabs.
• Place valve cover back into position and torque to specification.
• Torque Fuel Line AN fittings to the Holley EFI headunit per Holley Specifications.

With all bolts and connectors checked and double-check, reinstall the alternator and continue your EFI installation process.
